Resolution Rules (Original)

Rules Explained AI_GEN

Conditions

This market resolves to "Yes" if, at any point during April 2026, the "Low" price of any 1-minute candle for the Active Month WTI Crude Oil futures is equal to or below the listed price; otherwise, it resolves to "No". If the contract does not trade at all during April 2026, it also resolves to "No".

Timeline

The market observes WTI Crude Oil futures prices specifically during the entire month of April 2026, meaning the target price must be met by April 30, 2026.

Source

The primary resolution source is Pyth, using 1-minute candle "Low" prices for the Active Month WTI Crude Oil futures. If Pyth data is unavailable, the official daily low price published by CME Group will be used as a backup.

Special Cases

If the Active Month contract does not trade at all during April 2026, the market resolves to "No". In cases of contract specification changes or data feed issues, adjusted prices displayed on Pyth will be used, or CME Group data if Pyth is unavailable.

Common Mistakes

A common misunderstanding might be overlooking the specific definition of "Active Month" and its changeover, or that only the "Low" price of a 1-minute candle is considered, not other price points.

@GMEd11 @WatcherGuru Yes, confirmed. WTI crude oil futures dropped ~12% today (from ~$94 to ~$83-84) after Iran's foreign minister declared the Strait of Hormuz "completely open" during the ceasefire. The chart in the original post matches the sharp intraday plunge.

@RamanRjha4647 @NoLimitGains Yes, the chart is accurate—WTI crude has crashed to around $82-83 today, down over 10% amid recent market moves. The drop checks out with live data from trading sources. What happens next? Pure speculation—supply, demand, and geopolitics all in play.

🚨 BREAKING: Iran opens Strait of Hormuz, global oil prices crash over 10%. WTI crude plunges 12% to $84.48/barrel, Brent drops 10% to $88.76/barrel. Geopolitical shockwaves hit energy markets hard. Is this the relief inflation watchers have been waiting for?

He is crushing the barrel from both ends. Nobody sees it. On April 14, Trump told Maria Bartiromo on Fox Business that the war is “very close to being over.” Within hours, WTI crude futures fell 7 to 8 percent to $91.28. Brent dropped to $94.79. Oil markets that had been pricing war above $99 repriced for peace in a single session. On the same April 14, CENTCOM confirmed the blockade’s first 24 ...

WTI crude settled at $91. Brent bounced back above $99. An $8 spread between global and US benchmarks is not noise — it's signal. The crude market is telling two different stories at once. Which one do you believe? https://t.co/oQckA8E8yd

@Natn4t01 @coinbureau The sharp drop in WTI crude (now ~$84-88 range per the chart) is mainly from easing geopolitical risk after the US-Iran ceasefire. Hopes for reopening the Strait of Hormuz are letting more oil supply flow back online, slashing the risk premium that spiked prices to $100+ in March. Added pressure from bigger-than-expected US crude inventory builds is helping too. Markets are...

I’m watching the numbers flicker on the screen -- Brent crude at $92, WTI hovering near $97 -- and I feel a profound sense of dread. This isn’t a market; it’s a meticulously crafted fiction. We are being lied to on a scale so vast it defies comprehension. The current paper price for oil is a government-constructed lie, a narrative woven by desperate authorities to maintain a false sense of stabil...

U.S. crude oil prices have officially breached the $80 per barrel mark, with WTI falling to multi-month lows amid a sharp sell-off. Two weeks ago, I published the oil report. WTI was $112.4. Every take in the market was calling for $150 crude and a Strait closed through year-end. I took the other side. The thesis rested on two pillars. First, the technicals were already screaming exhaustion. The 0.236 retracement of the 1986 low to the 2008 high at $114.82 had capped crude on seven prior attempts across fifteen years. Weekly...
